The Strong Life Test for Women

The other day I was poking around some news websites and came across this article:
Marcus Buckingham: What The Happiest And Most Successful Women Do Differently
Now certainly I wanted to know what the happiest and most successful women do differently so I read on. A very interesting read if you have a few minutes yet I was even more intrigued by the Strong Life Test for Women and my own results. So, (after several attempts) I put it in the sidebar on the right for you all to try for yourselves. I also added a new blog to my blogroll that I found fascinating, especially if you like history. It's name is "Letters of Note" and it's described as "correspondence deserving of a wider audience." Basically it has a variety of sometimes fascinating, sometimes amusing, letters, memos, telegrams, faxes, etc.. A few examples: an amusing letter from Nixon to Reagan on a speech and the Iran Contra and a memo from the creator of South Park, Matt Stone, to the MPAA about changes to his South Park movie so it could get an R rating instead of NC-17 (really dirty but hilarious). There are lots more, try the "most read" list to start. Anyhoo I thought I would share my finds for those of you whom are interested.

On a separate note, thanks to you all for your support about Sarge. He is doing well as we speak, snoring at my feet. He had his first vaccine shot and gets his next this Tuesday. After that he gets two more biweekly shots. The vaccine increases his life expectancy to 15 months from 3-4 months. Of course there are no promises and it does not work for all dogs but there are also cases where dogs live for years afterwards cancer free. So, that's where we are and thankfully the vaccine has no side effects. The researchers are now even working on this same method for a human vaccine which is encouraging news for people with melanomas. After our experience with Sarge, I can only imagine the heartbreak and anxiety that loved ones feel when cancer strikes a spouse, sibling, parent or god forbid, a child like little Alex Scott. I just count my blessings, say my prayers and remember "there but for the grace of God go I."
